    使用轻烧镁球的好处有那些？轻烧镁球是一种碱性耐火制品，CaO的作用：可以取代石灰中的CaO，保证炼钢终渣碱度，减少石灰加入量。CaO能与炉渣中的SiO2反应CaO+SiO2=3CaO.SiO2、Ca2SiO4，C3S、C2S都是高熔点物质，如果炉渣中的CaO含量足够的话，轻烧氧化镁球的主要成分以MgO为主既可。 虽然通过调整炉渣中MgO的操作，可以达到降低炉渣过热度和稠化炉渣的目的，但是利用C—O反应C(FeO)=Fe+CO，降低炉渣中FeO含量和MgO的饱和溶解度，使炉渣中的MgO更容易达到或超过饱和值。从而改质炉渣既有较高的耐火度又有适宜的粘度，满足溅渣护炉的条件，因此也可以在轻烧氧化镁球中适当增碳。
